Inspiration
I am Tasneem from varangaon, India. I love cooking and I made 11 authentic Indian recipes book. While cooking, my phone screen is too small and gets dirty. I thought - why not cook on big TV screen? Fire TV is in millions of homes. That's my inspiration for Tasneem's Kitchen for Fire TV.
What it does
Tasneem's Kitchen shows my 11 recipes (Biryani, Aloo Gobi, Paneer Masala etc) on Amazon Fire TV in big, clear steps.
- Big screen recipe cards
- Voice control: "Alexa, next step"
- Hindi + English
- Offline mode for kitchen use
How we built it
- Designed UI in Canva
- Built Android app using Niotron (no-code platform)
- Optimized for Fire OS (Fire TV uses Android base)
- Tested on Fire TV Stick
- Added Alexa voice intents for hands-free cooking
Challenges we ran into
- Making app work on TV remote (not touch)
- No money for Play Store ($25 fee), so Amazon Appstore is free and best for me!
- Solo developer, first time building for TV
- Making Hindi fonts readable on TV

- First app for Amazon ecosystem from Nagpur
- 100% free to publish, 80/20 revenue share helps me earn

- Add 100+ recipes
- Add shopping list with Alexa: "Alexa, add Biryani ingredients to cart"
- Add video tutorials
- Publish on Amazon Appstore and Indus Appstore to earn
