Inspiration
Often, we find ourselves struggling to balance our busy lives and juggle all the things we have to do, such as schoolwork, clubs, social life, jobs, etc. This problem is not unique to Pitt, but is experienced by college students and working persons around the world. We wanted people to be able to organize their week in such a way that their time was utilized in the most efficient way possible, allowing them to be both productive and enjoy their well earned rest.
What it does
(After entering the site) You are greeted by a blank calendar and a plus button, which upon being clicked prompts you to enter your weekly schedule. By inputting your classes and class times, the calendar will output the data based on what was entered. Not only will the class and time will appear on the calendar, but they will be color coded as well.
How we built it
Challenges we ran into
Accomplishments that we're proud of
(David) Personally, I did not contribute much because I don't have a solid coding foundation. However, this event gave me the opportunity to be exposed to many of the principles of CS and website development. I got to take a crash course of HTML and CSS and see how websites can be created, from scratch, first hand. This event was a bench mark for me, as I hope to overcome my helplessness from this hackathon and hopefully contribute more in the next one.
