Inspiration
We wanted to build a productivity application that feels modern, visually engaging, and easy to use while solving the common problem of managing multiple tasks efficiently. Existing task managers often lack personalization, analytics, and smooth user experience. Our goal was to create a platform that not only manages tasks but also motivates users through productivity insights and intuitive design.
What it does
- TaskFlow AI allows users to:
- Create, edit, delete, and manage tasks
- Track completed and pending work
- View productivity analytics and charts
- Organize schedules using calendar integration
- Manage tasks visually using a responsive dashboard
- Access reports and productivity statistics
- Use a clean, mobile-friendly responsive interface
- Experience enhanced UI/UX with animations and modern layouts
How we built it
We built the application using:
- Frontend: HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Backend: Python Flask
- Database: SQLite
- Charts & Analytics: Chart.js
- Calendar Integration: FullCalendar.js
- Deployment: Render
- Version Control: GitHub
We also used MeDo AI to improve the project by enhancing UI/UX ideas, responsive layouts, productivity dashboard concepts, animations, feature suggestions, and hackathon-level presentation improvements.
Challenges we ran into
Some major challenges included:
- Fixing sidebar scrolling and responsive UI issues
- Deploying the Flask application successfully on Render
- Configuring proper port binding for production deployment
- Managing GitHub uploads and project structure
- Handling CSS errors and layout inconsistencies
- Ensuring mobile responsiveness across all pages
- Debugging deployment issues under time pressure
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud that we successfully:
- Built a complete full-stack productivity platform
- Added calendar, reports, analytics, and dashboard featuresCreated a modern responsive interface
- Successfully deployed the application live
- Integrated AI-assisted enhancement ideas using MeDo
- Improved user experience with animations and productivity insights
- Completed the project within hackathon time limits
