Inspiration

We were inspired by the Pears company when they incited us to make P2P apps for a change. We liked P2P apps from before because of the decentralized point of view, but had not fully implemented one yet, and when thinking about data sharing, we thought that shared task calendars were a fun idea, and the P2P was the perfect fit for that sharing given the sensitive nature of the data handled. We also tried to give the frontend a Look-And-Feel that that was similar to the one of this edition of HackUPC.

What it does

It offers a web fronted to manage groups of shared tasks between different groups of people and create and manage different types of events.

How we built it

We were able to build what we made thanks to the modules provided by the HolePunch organization in GitHub, particularly thanks to the AutoPass module.

Challenges we ran into

The challenges have been many this weekend. For this being our second hackathon, we were overwhelmed with different activities to do that took from the already scarce time to build anything, and that alongside the technical difficulties that arose when working with the complex reality of these modules; these have been tough nights.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Even though this might not have been our best project to date, we're proud to believe that we all took the most out of the experience of the HackUDC2026.

What we learned

What we all learned the most about this weekend was definitely TypeScript, as we are not familiar at all with this language for the backend of the project and used Vite for the fronted, which we had never used before while still having little to no experience in web development.
