🚀 TaskPilot AI — Your Smart Productivity Companion
💡 Inspiration
Managing daily tasks, notes, and focus time across different tools can become overwhelming. I built TaskPilot AI to bring these essential productivity features together in one simple workspace.
🛠️ What It Does
TaskPilot AI helps users:
- ✅ Create and complete tasks
- 🎯 Generate focused work plans
- 📝 Save notes
- 📊 View daily productivity summaries
- 🤖 Interact with a conversational demo interface
It also provides an MCP Streamable HTTP endpoint that exposes productivity tools for potential AI assistant integrations.
⚙️ How I Built It
I built TaskPilot AI using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for the frontend, with Node.js and Express powering the backend. I implemented API routes for task management, notes, and summaries, along with an MCP endpoint exposing six productivity tools.
📚 What I Learned
Building this project helped me practice frontend-backend integration, API development, Node.js server setup, and MCP tool exposure. I also learned how to organize a project for GitHub and prepare it for a hackathon submission.
🚧 Challenges
One of my main challenges was connecting the frontend to the backend and ensuring the application was served correctly. Setting up the project structure, debugging server errors, and preparing the repository helped me improve my problem-solving skills.
🌟 What's Next
I aim to improve the conversational experience, explore integration with AI assistants, and make TaskPilot AI more useful for everyday productivity.
TaskPilot AI is a work in progress, built to explore how productivity tools and MCP can work together.
