Inspiration Tired of overwhelming, endless to-do lists, we wanted to build an adaptive command center that actively helps you execute your goals, not just store them. What it does TaskMaster AI is an intelligent multi-board productivity app that uses AI to break complex goals into subtasks, auto-prioritize workloads, parse natural language inputs, and keep your data strictly private. How we built it

• Frontend: Next.js, Tailwind CSS, Framer Motion
• Backend & Security: Firebase Auth, Cloud Firestore, custom security rules
• AI Engine: OpenAI API integrated via Next.js Server Actions with strict JSON output schemas Challenges we ran into Configuring fine-grained, secure Firestore rules for deeply nested boards while keeping real-time drag-and-drop state updates fast and smooth. Accomplishments that we're proud of Delivering a multi-board experience with ironclad per-user data isolation and sub-second AI task generation that feels like a native productivity feature. What we learned Aligning database paths directly with user auth IDs makes data security effortless, and structuring AI output schemas is crucial for reliable UI integration.
