Inspiration
The inspiration for TaskGenius stemmed from the need to simplify task management and automate workflows using AI. By combining AI with blockchain, I saw an opportunity to create a platform that not only enhances productivity but also ensures transparency and security through decentralized technology. This fusion of automation and trustless transactions motivated me to build a system that empowers users to manage tasks more efficiently and securely.
What it does
TaskGenius is an AI-powered task management platform designed to automate task assignment, prioritization, and workflow management. The platform uses Public AI to make intelligent suggestions, delegate tasks, and track progress, while Questflow automates workflows to streamline task completion. The integration with NEAR Protocol ensures that tasks are completed with trustless, smart contract-based payments, providing a decentralized and transparent approach to managing tasks. The platform also features privacy through Calimero’s private shards, protecting sensitive information.
How I built it
I developed TaskGenius using a combination of AI tools and decentralized technologies. The AI component, powered by Public AI, handles task decision-making and optimizes workflows. Questflow automates the workflow processes, while the NEAR Protocol provides the blockchain foundation, ensuring secure and low-cost transactions for task completion. Smart contracts are implemented to automate payments upon successful task completion. To enhance privacy, Calimero's private shards were integrated to ensure secure handling of sensitive data. The frontend is built with React, while the backend is based on Python to manage AI and blockchain interactions.
Challenges I ran into
The most significant challenge was ensuring seamless integration between AI-driven automation and decentralized workflows. Managing real-time task execution with Questflow, while ensuring security and transparency via NEAR's blockchain, required a balance between efficiency and trust. Another challenge was maintaining privacy for tasks involving sensitive data, which was addressed using Calimero's private shards for secure data processing.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
I'm proud of successfully integrating advanced AI-driven task management with decentralized technologies. Completing a fully functional platform that automates workflows, offers smart contract-based payments, and provides a secure, transparent user experience is a significant achievement. The ability to automate task payments through blockchain without relying on intermediaries is a feature that highlights TaskGenius' unique value.
What I learned
Building TaskGenius taught me the vast potential of combining AI with blockchain technology. I learned how AI can streamline task management and how decentralized tools can ensure security and transparency in a project. Additionally, I gained a deeper understanding of the importance of balancing privacy with automation, especially in managing sensitive information on a public blockchain.
What's next for TaskGenius
In the future, I plan to:
- Expand TaskGenius with multi-language support to increase global accessibility.
- Integrate Aurora for cross-chain functionality, allowing users from other ecosystems like Ethereum to benefit from the platform.
- Introduce staking rewards using Meta Pool to incentivize user engagement.
- Further enhance the AI-driven automation by introducing advanced features like task forecasting and intelligent notifications.
- Develop a mobile app version for more convenient access to the platform on the go.
