Inspiration

The inspiration behind Tasker came from the need to simplify task management. We often find ourselves juggling multiple responsibilities, but turning vague ideas into actionable steps is time-consuming. By leveraging the power of AI, we wanted to create a tool that could bridge this gap, making planning seamless and efficient for individuals and teams alike.

What it does

Tasker takes user-provided descriptions and instantly generates clear, organized, and actionable tasks. It prioritizes tasks intelligently and adapts to various use cases, whether it's project management, personal goal setting, or team collaboration. Tasker streamlines workflows, saving time and boosting productivity.

How we built it

We built Tasker using Omi. Omi's advanced capabilities allowed us to create a system that understands user input contextually, generates meaningful tasks, and maintains memory for continuity.

Challenges we ran into

One major challenge was ensuring the AI-generated tasks were both relevant and actionable. Fine-tuning the prompt-engineering logic to adapt to diverse user inputs required extensive testing and iteration. Additionally, integrating memory-based functionality for personalized recommendations posed technical complexities that we had to address creatively.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud of successfully turning an abstract idea into a fully functional application. Tasker's ability to adapt to various scenarios and generate meaningful tasks has been well-received during testing. Moreover, leveraging Omi's framework to create a dynamic and user-friendly app is a testament to the strength of our concept and execution.

What we learned

Through this project, we learned robust prompt engineering, and effective memory integration. Understanding how users interact with task management tools helped us fine-tune Tasker to better meet their needs. We also gained valuable experience in leveraging Omi.

What's next for TASKER

In the future, we aim to expand Tasker’s capabilities by incorporating collaboration features for teams, integrating with popular productivity tools.
