Inspiration

In an economy where many people make their living not with a steady job, but freelancing, a more modern, safe version of a freelancing job board is necessary.

What it does

Users can register with a username/password or with their Citibank accounts. From there, users can post jobs they want done, or look at the current list of jobs and get contact information for the poster.

How I built it

We used the ever popular MEAN stack (Mongo, Express, Angular, Node).

Challenges I ran into

Authentication with Citibank was difficult.

A hell of a lot about javascript/web development in general.

What's next for TaskD

Direct money transfers with some other services (Paypal, Venmo), a messaging system so that users don't have to post contact details, a better rating system.
