Inspiration
We as High School students have an overwhelming and busy schedule. We figured that a website like Task Warrior could help with efficiency and productivity throughout our days. This will also be useful for adults with a busy schedule as they have to balance work family and etc.
What it does
Users will be prompted to enter daily tasks after creating an account. Users will then be paired up with another competitor with a similar schedule. As users complete tasks throughout the day, they'll earn points for each task which will be displayed to the competitor and an overall website leaderboard.
How we built it
We used HTML, CSS, and Javascript to create our program. Along with that, Google Firebase was used to create accounts and store user data.
Challenges we ran into
We initially ran into a problem where we couldn't connect to the Google Firebase which wasted a lot of time.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We were successfully able to connect the front end to the back end!
What we learned
We learned a lot of HTML and how to work with firebase
What's next for Task Warrior
We plan on creating a portal to allow users to upload images of users completed tasks as motivation for their competitor and proof of task completion
