Inspiration

I was inspired by the fact that from my own experinece I find prioritising tasks and knowing what task to do with my time to make sure I am using it as effieciently as possible. I thought about a program which would solve this problem because that would be very time saving and will maximise student efficiency, which is how I came up with this idea.

What it does

The user enters the task name, the date its due and its level of urgency. The program should then be able to sort based on the date its due and the level of urgency.

How I built it

I built it using the basic knowledge I had of pygame and python. It also required a lot of research. I also tried to use an object oriented approach.

Challenges I ran into

I ran in to a lot of challenges with this project as my knowledge of python isnt very extensive so not only did I have to do a lot of research and learning which was a problem with the time contraint of DurHsck but also It took me a long time to fix bugs and errors due to my level of expertise.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Im proud that I did not give up on the project when my whole team decided to drop out of the challege due to their own personal issues.

What I learned

I learnt a lot about pygame and python as well as debugging.

What's next for task organiser

Unfortunately I was not able to finish the due to the time constraint and other personal commitments I have. I would like to actually make sure the sort by date and urgency functions work in the future as I didnt get round to properly sorting out those final two features. In the code I have implemented the sort by date feature however due to bugs it does not work or display. I would also like to make the GUI of my app more professional.
