Challenge 3: Grid decarbonisation
What it does
Simulates a model of the new Zealand power grid using existing data and can be modified with scale factors.
How we built it
We used python and pair programming pulling the data from the given excel spreadsheet and using the flowchart provided
Challenges we ran into
Initial understanding of the task was our biggest issue with this task
Accomplishments that we're proud of
we produced a competent and working end product in a short time period as well as finding a semi optimal value for the model to run
What we learned
We gained a greater understanding of modelling and using real world data to model alternative scenarios.
