Inspiration
Giuseppe Tartini
What it does
It generates combination notes, using difference or summation.
How we built it
It was build with QML, a MuseScore specific plugin format.
Challenges we ran into
Musescore's QML plugin API has a very basic documentation, leaving some parts to be reverse engineered, the development environment is also missing modern features.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
It works and it sounds good!
What we learned
Tartini tones sound good even though out of tune which supports our suspicion that it should sound good since we always hear it very softly. We also learned a thing or two about QML.
What's next for Tartini
Support for articulation, especially glissandi. Chords consisting of notes of different durations. Finding the appropriate notation for out of tune pitches.
