Inspiration
Tarnished Patricia was inspired by the psychology of conformity — how fear, approval, and belonging can erode personal identity. The project started as an experiment in visual storytelling through AI, blending symbolism and emotion to show what happens when people surrender their individuality to a collective mindset.
What it does
The video uses surreal imagery and metaphors to portray the cycle of blind trust, control, and self-erasure within a manipulative group. It follows Patricia’s transformation from loyal follower to free thinker, illustrating how self-reliance becomes the only escape from ideological control.

Challenges we ran into
Character Consistency: creating a consistent character was not easy when I created this project in April 2025. I used ChatGPT to generate starting frames. Video Generations: I also ran into a lot of video glitches while using the early models of Kling AI early this year.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Created a cohesive narrative purely from AI-generated elements. Balanced sound, pacing, and story to produce a cinematic emotional arc. Found creative ways to represent control, conformity, and escape without explicit violence or shock value.
What I learned
AI tools demand creative direction — the technology amplifies vision, not replaces it.
Limitations and policies can actually fuel stronger ideas when used as creative boundaries.
Emotional storytelling through AI is possible when guided by clear intent and pacing.
