Inspiration

We didn't originally plan on doing Tappy. In fact, our first plan was for a fashion application. When we hit a wall with that, we almost gave up completely. After brainstorming for other ideas with less than 12 hours on the clock, we thought of Tappy. The idea was too good to pass up.

What it does

Tappy is a web application that streamlines hotel services to guests. Essentially, "Service in a Tap". Fast, convenient, and user-friendly- we hope Tappy can be useful for any hospitality business!

How we built it

We built the project on Intellij and created a lot of different aspects using Angular. In Angular, we used a lot of html and css to develop the front end and javascript to develop the backend.

Challenges we ran into

The biggest challenge was connecting the backend to the front. We are novices to Angular so we weren't able to figure it out.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The biggest accomplishment we are proud of, is not giving up on our FIRST Hackathon! Our team spent the whole whole night working as much as we could on this product. Although we did not finish our coding, this project was something we believed in.

What we learned

We learned Angular, a front-end framework to build web applications. We also learned Node/Express, how to insert into a database from the web application, and APIs. In addition to working on our technical coding skills, we also learned to brainstorm and work together as a team!
