Inspiration:

I never thought that a simple game like this would bring out my competitive side when it comes to just tapping, something about the game when it's only seconds to achieve a certain number of points really brings the best out of you! It started off as a game for fun in a world but as I noticed that players were really into beating a high score it kept them inside, so I thought let's spice up this game< and then a game was born! Tap'n Frenzy!

What it does:

The world is a very simple challenge game to test your stamina at finger speed. with 3 different modes! speed, Endurance, and Battle! speed is a timer game where you only have 20 seconds to tap to gain the highest score! endurance is an all or nothing tap spree where if you stop for a split second the game is over! tap till you drop! and battle mode (my favorite) u go against your opponent and deplete there tap point before yours! and so much more! we also implemented level gains so through the gameplays u level up and achieve wearables and other great powers!

How we built it:

To be honest it started off as a simple trigger inside a world with a timer, a VR experience for my friends and guests to come in and to just have fun, but as we brainstormed (my partner Casey_tt) more detailed toward the game to make it more exciting. and as we built more and more ideas started to flow and brought the game to mobile for phone players to try without stepping into the VR! then it became a fun little story as we turned it into a similar movie called The Matrix! Little by little we saw the world come to life and there was still so much more we wanted to add to the world so that the challenges never ended!

Challenges we ran into:

we weren't sure of how it would work into mobile seeing as it started off in VR first where there were no limits! but we thought about everyone and said to each other (my partner Casey) we have to try. We didn't know how to script because there are so many tools and advanced systems we just didn't know how to work. We thank our lucky stars; we had an awesome friend ( MetaQuestGod) that was willing to see a dream come to light. But even then, between teamwork we had disagreements between what we should put in the world that would WOW players and for future ideas of the world, but throughout the difficult decisions we pulled through and got what we loved done and we are not even done yet!

Accomplishments that we're proud of:

This would be our very first world that we ever submitted anywhere, so that alone was the greatest accomplishment! The fact that I have friends and family to even bring any of this to life is a big achievement in itself and I'm very thankful for them. and finally, taking our time into putting in the effort of making the world the way we visioned the world to be!

What we learned:

There were SO many things we learned as we were building! Gen Ai really opened our eyes when it came to scripting and imagination! We learned new ways to be more creative in building; we learned to strengthen ways to organize capacity. and we also learned that when creating a world, the imagination is limitless, and we never run out of ideas to improve and upgrade the world!

What's next for Tap'n Frenzy! World:

At the moment we have it to where mobile is welcome but will introduce it back to VR so that all platforms can enjoy the competitive challenges, we are definitely bringing a story mode inside the world where players can challenge NPC in a tap off! and hopefully get into an event where we would love to giveaway to 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place winners Monthly!
