Inspiration: I was at first inspired by the combat in D&D which then led into a tank game
About Game: Its a 2 players shoot at each other on a map trying to take out the enemies hp. They can avoid getting hit by using walls. They can also Dash to temporarily increase the amount of squares they can move. Some buttons like the 'dodge' and 'item' buttons don't work yet, but I will attempt to implement them later on.
How I built it: I started making the map and characters exist and interact with the map, walls and such, then implemented the UI at the bottom of the screen, before working on how the UI works and interacts with the players and map
Challenges: After a while of working by myself I got tired and panicked. It slowed down my work and made it harder to read for myself and made it hard to add new things later on
What I learned: I learned that I don't work well under pressure. Next time I'll make sure to balance my time better, try to make a more reasonable or completable idea and make a better plan before the event.
What's next for Tank Fight: I'll try and make the UI better and the game itself more interactive and strategic. Also adding graphics as I didn't have time for any in the time I spent.
