During this hackathon, team Lambda developed a proof of concept game engine, Tango, for a retro pixel art top down shooter. With custom, hand drawn assets, players can navigate the map, using their weapons and attack enemies. The program was written in python using several packages, the most crucial ones being, Pygame for game mechanics, tkinter for the graphical user interfaces (GUI), Pillow for image handling and Play sound for sound design and integration. With our limited time, we managed to develop a workable proof of concept, which we hope you have fun playing. Enjoy!
