What it does
This project basically takes a picture of the person entering the beach and leaving the beach and ends up generating a list with each persons name and the time slot.
How we built it
We decided to use a software called pycharm so that we both are able to collaborate on it as a team, we used python as our programming language.
Challenges we ran into
There were a variety of challenges we faced. For example, we had some difficulties installing the software, for some reason the libraries were not being installed successfully on windows so we had to switch to a Macbook. Not only that, we had a few struggles with Github. We originally wanted to create a project on Github for collaborative purposes, but since we both were inexperienced in suing that platform, we decided to stick with pycharm.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Even thou, the program didn't work as we expected, we were proud of the end result. The program was still able to identify faces which was part of what we aimed to do and we also learned how to work as a team and delegate.
What we learned
Overall, this being our first hackathon, we learned a tremendous amount. We learned about Github and how to work with pycharm.
