Inspiration

We are inspired by our past personal travel experiences and we aim to make the experience smoother than before

What it does

  • The main objective of our web application is to assist client with their flight experience by providing helping analytic pertaining to their flight such as:
    • Calculating the estimated time that it will take to commute from their current location to their preferred airport and letting them know if they would make it on time including traffic time, bag check in time, TSA processing time
      • display the current weather in the client's city so that they can factor that into their flight experience

How I built it

  • We utilized Django framework with HTML and CSS for front end development
  • Utilized openweather API to get the current weather
  • Utilized bootstrap 4 for front end development
  • Utilized jQuery for text autocompletion (future implementation)
  • Embeded American Airline API (future implementation)

Challenges I ran into

We were running in integration issue and the learning curve of django since this is the first time that our team utilized the django framework

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

We are proud of the front end development and how far we have gone even though we have road blocks such as lack of experiences with Django and we are also proud of the scope of the project.

What I learned

We learned alot in regard to web development using Django, project management, proper use of version control, proper coordination, agile development and how to communicate effectively.

What's next for TAMU_Hack
