Inspiration

Misinformation about politicians is everywhere online. Finding reliable information is frustrating and complicated. Voters struggle to learn about politicians effectively.

What it does

The platform offers quick, bite-sized summaries of politicians’ careers, achievements, and controversies, all in one place. Plus, you can compare two politicians side by side and stay updated on who’s making headlines in the political scene.

How we built it

We used Next.js alongside Ionic to build a website that easily convertible to mobile. For the backend, we used Python and FastAPI alongside APIs such as Perplexity API and Cloud Translation AI that was deployed in Vercel.

Challenges we ran into

We ran into challenges when integrating and when trying to deploy the app. We had to try different platforms to resolve this challenge.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were able to utilize AI, a topic we are very interested in, in order to produce a solution we are passionate about.

What we learned

There are many resources out there and it was just a matter of finding the right technology in order to bring ideas to life. We collaborated and used each of our skill sets in order to address the challenges we faced.

What's next for TamAI

We have more features we want to implement in the future that are sadly not within our time frame for this hackathon. Particularly,we want to scale it bigger so that it may help more Filipinos.
