Covid-19 has exacerbated the rate of mental health related violence like domestic violence, rape, and violence against women and children. Mental health problems remain a highly stigmatized and neglected health care issue in Nigeria, which is secretly devastating more than 150 million people amid the pandemic.

What it does provides an anonymous online talk therapy that helps consumers lead healthier lives with stigma and privacy protection.

How I built it

We have built the project with the help of a very talented team, made up of mostly talented women, who are therapists, analysts, engineers, barristers and activists with superhuman skills. We have created closed beta video conferencing and real-time chat room modules, and AI support models with AWS.

Challenges I ran into

Difficulty in deploying data analytics in therapeutic progress. Lack of collaborators experienced in field. Lack of capital to hire engineers experienced in developing AI algorithms and data analytics that help automate our technologies for efficiency and easy scalability.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Developed our own video conferencing application that is being used internally by our teams during this pandemic.

What I learned

We are very grateful to be mentored by Dr. Patrick E, Dr. Martin C, Dr. Josh M, Dr. Angela B., who are sharing their wealth of mental health care and data analytics knowledge with us.

What's next for

Partner with private and public collaborators in the mental health field. Launch an open beta in few months.
