inspired by tiktok live shows and personal stylists in fashion

What it does

we've built talkshop. this app curates style tips and dynamically creates products based on a live ai video chat call with dynamic tool calls.

How we built it

claude for brainstorming and initial prompt gen bolt.new for major dev gemini 2.5 for analyzing full project context and files for debug and enhanced prompt gen

Challenges we ran into

bolt.new takes a long time to update large files so iteration speed was slow as a result and I didn't manage to add all the features I wanted (i.e. subscriptions and virtual try on). overly ambitious with tool/app capabilities

Accomplishments that we're proud of

host customization with custom system prompt edit (basic/advanced) dynamic product generation and UI showcasing + the add to cart animation open-source submission

What we learned

tavus is super powerful but can get confused - perception layer is constantly on and AI has a hard time referencing the perception tool calls, making interactions sometimes feel a bit generic.

What's next for TalkShop

splitting up large files into smaller ones for more precise edits. more advanced tavus configuration. add virtual try-on and user customization forms.
