Coronavirus has caused the biggest spike in unemployment since the great depression of 1929… employment in certain industries have completely ceased and many SME’s are being put out of business. SME’s account for > 74% of employment across the EU. Currently there are 2.9 million active jobs on the EURES ( European job mobility platform) website with only 206,000 job seekers CVs on the site and 15,000 companies. The biggest pain for jobseekers is the difficulty of the CV build process for anyone accessing EURES – this is a very difficult process CURRENTLY this is a 10 STEP Process.. Using Allsorter.com – we can convert this to a 1 step process making it simpler and faster to create a profile that can be searched by hiring companies and jobseekers in a simple to use platform.

Our company Allsorter specializes in extracting information from resumes independent of the format of the supplied resume. We utilize a combination of NLP and Artificial Intelligence to correctly identify skills of all types (technical, soft skills, languages and hard skills) and can use this information to match an individual to a job and even rank candidates by suitability.

Scalability There are only 206,000 jobseekers on EURES with 2.9 million open jobs currently, post Corona the numbers of unemployed in some states will peak at 25% and are expected to halve by Q2 2021 creating a massive supply and demand swing. Unemployment in Europe could nearly double in the coming months, with up to 59 million jobs at risk from permanent cutbacks as well as reductions in pay and hours because of the coronavirus pandemic, estimates from consultancy McKinsey said. Half of all jobs at risk are in customer service and sales, food service and builder occupations. In Europe’s wholesale and retail sector, 14.6 millions jobs could be threatened, 8.4 million jobs in accommodation and food and 1.7 million in arts and entertainment.

How have we built our solution?

Our platform is already built and being used by companies all over the world. We have leveraged our platform to create a customer friendly interface to reduce the bottleneck between hiring and being hired. Our platform is constructed using: Java, Lucene, PostgreSQL, HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3

Our approach was:

1. Identify a real problem affecting businesses and jobseekers access jobs and experience across the EU
2. Show the complexity and difficulty creating the Europass CV required to be searched on EURES
3. Demonstrate how Allsorter.com can help, speed up and enhance the process for all EU Citizens
4. Add value for businesses with search and match capabilities in real time
5. Promote the simplicity of our approach 
6. Seek follow on support to implement for the greater good

Our MVP (MVP):

TALENTMATIX 1 (CV Transformation), has been successfully commercialised, marketed under the trade name Allsorter.com. We have added value to recruiters and jobseekers with our CV Optimisation. This aspect of the solution extracts, annotates, and optimises CV data, using our machine learning and natural language processing algorithms. Data is presented in a customer- defined template which indexes all skill data while maximising the presentation of their skills.. We have changed the game already in Phase 1 of this digital transformation project.

This product relates to the following two phases of development, TALENTMATIX Phase 2 (Search, match and rank) and TALENTMATIX Phase 3 (Skills GAP Analytics) as well as continuing to work on the full integration of all features

TALENTMATIX 2 (Search, match and rank) – TRL 7 TALENTMATIX searches and ranks candidates by closest fit (historical searches) An engine which can generate a ranked shortlist of candidates from a pool of CVs.

Our current status: • Business Concept for MVP completely defined • Frontend of the MVP almost finished • First contact with the European Commission has been made • Social media channels opened • Channel partner identified • Branding concept has been created • Plan for the rollout ready

What did we achieve during the Hackathon? Design • Refinement of the design and stucture of the POC

Development: • ESCO taxonomy utilised • Lucene indexation for maximum search capability • Business model and organisation:

• Conducting initial tests of the prototype with users
• Completion of the development team
• Filling the social media channels with initial content

• Completion of the front-end • Adaptation of the back-end (decide on E-Commerce Backend Framework to integrate) • Completion of the mobile-App • Refinement of the marketing strategy • Clarification of legal issues, GDPR and data protection • Create guidelines for users
