Inspiration
Job seekers often face a "black box" when applying for roles, not knowing why their resumes fail to pass Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS). I wanted to build a tool that uses high-end AI to provide the same level of intelligence that recruiters have, empowering candidates to optimize their own career paths.
What it does Talentify AI performs deep semantic analysis of resumes. It provides:
Multi-Dimensional Scoring: Evaluates ATS compatibility, skills match, grammar, formatting, and impact.
Job Description Analyzer: Compares resumes against specific job descriptions to find missing keywords.
AI Auto-Rewrite: Uses Claude Sonnet 4 to enhance bullet points with quantifiable metrics.
Career Tools: Features an interview assistant and an automated portfolio generator.
How I built it The project is built with a cutting-edge frontend stack including React 19 and Tailwind CSS 4. I integrated Claude Sonnet 4 for the AI logic and used Puter.js for cloud-based backend services and KV storage. For document processing, I utilized PDF.js to parse resume data accurately.
Challenges I ran into One major challenge was ensuring the AI could return consistent, structured data from varying resume formats. I overcame this by engineering robust prompts and implementing a strict TypeScript-based validation layer for the AI's responses.
What I learned I gained deep experience in working with the latest versions of React and Tailwind, and learned how to manage complex AI state transitions in a production-ready environment.
