Inspiration

Job searching can feel overwhelming, especially with generic career advice that doesn’t cater to individual needs. We wanted to create a smart, AI-driven solution that offers personalized career guidance, helps with resume optimization, and prepares candidates for interviews—making the job hunt smoother and more effective.

What it does

Talent Forge is an AI-powered career assistant designed to help job seekers stand out. It analyzes resumes for ATS compatibility, provides AI-driven interview coaching, generates tailored cover letters, and offers insights into industry trends. Our goal is to make career growth accessible and efficient for everyone.

How we built it

We leveraged Next.js for a dynamic and responsive frontend, ShadCN UI & Tailwind CSS for a sleek design, and Neon DB with Prisma for efficient database management. Inngest automates workflows, while Gemini AI powers intelligent resume analysis, interview simulations, and career recommendations.

Challenges we ran into

One of the biggest challenges was ensuring that AI-generated feedback was accurate and truly helpful. Fine-tuning the resume analysis to align with real-world ATS filters and integrating multiple AI models smoothly also required careful optimization. Additionally, balancing a feature-rich experience with fast performance took some effort.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Successfully developed and deployed a full-fledged AI-powered career assistant. Implemented AI-driven resume screening with real-time feedback. Designed an intuitive, user-friendly interface that enhances accessibility. Optimized interview coaching using AI-powered question simulations.

What we learned

This project deepened our understanding of AI’s role in career development. We gained insights into ATS systems, job market trends, and the importance of creating a seamless user experience. We also refined our skills in AI integration, data handling, and workflow automation.
