Inspiration:

Sneaker Art has emerged as a trending fad and it offers artists to express themselves through social events, political messages, and supporting a charitable cause. If artists can bring awareness through graffiti and on canvas then why not through sneakers where the message roams around.

What it does:

Talaria is a social awareness sneaker artwork NFT marketplace, that aims to assist artists to bring awareness to events, social issues, and/or political statements using our generative art algorithm.

Talaria allows sneaker artist to submit their pieces and allows Talaria to use IND tokens or USD to purchase or bid on the NFTs. The winning bidder gets the actual sneaker shipped.

Since every artist must choose a cause, a portion of the bidding is sent to the organization that the cause is supporting.

How we built it:

AWS - Server OpenSea API – Marketplace functionality and Wallet that allows IND tokens. Generative Art - Automated script using JavaScript Ecwid API – eCommerce cart that allows NFT winner to submit shipping address in order to receive sneaker and also allows Talaria to make a donation to cause the organization

Challenges we ran into:

Coming up with a scalable workflow that allows artists to submit their artwork that eventually allows the bidder to obtain the NFT and sneaker.

Accomplishments that we're proud of:

Learning and understanding NFTs and how to incorporate them into IND tokens.

What we learned:

NFTs, Marketplaces, and Generative Art scripts.

What's next for Talaria:

Hopefully to collaborate with Indorse to bring this to reality and work on a pilot launch.
