Inspiration
After attending a church several times, a friend asked me why I don’t do any volunteering activities. I told her that the things that I could do did not interest me. I told her that I could play the guitar or some musical instrument that would interest me and she said that the church was looking for people who already had these skills. There were people who volunteered their services via musical instruments but they needed more people to take the pressure off the existing volunteers.
What it does
I told her that the church should train people like myself in let’s say the guitar to a level where I could perform for the church. This would take a great deal of effort on my part as well. It would require dedication and commitment to learn and practice. Upon successful completion based on the judgement of the trainer, I would then return the service by playing the guitar at church for a certain period of time. I would think that such a service commitment should not exceed more than one year. This does not just apply to church but it can apply to just about any organization or even an individual who is willing to train. The platform would detail out all the conditions and commitments required and the people interested would apply. Acceptance would be based on the trainer’s decision and judgement. There would be no money exchanged, simply services.
