Inspiration
While the issue has gone largely unnoticed until now, loneliness and social isolation have become more present ever since the rise of COVID 19 and the global pandemic. The pandemic limited our abilities to interact with friends, thus launching its own pandemic of mental health crises and disorders among peoples of all ages and genders.
What it does
Take a Hike works when you walk! Walk and talk with friends of similar interests and see both where you and they are going!
How we built it
After one hour of brainstorming, we created a logo in Procreate and an app concept in Figma. Then, after a brief hiatus, we reconvened to crank out our code and our presentation.
Challenges we ran into
We were very ambitious in our brainstorming phase, but we never fully took into account the difficulties of implementing certain features of our software.
