More than ever, the line between home and work is blurred when the world is in quarantine. Our project aims to balance work time and self-time for people's wellbeing in these troubled times.

Inspiration

When we are overwhelmed with work on our own little desks. We may fail to grant ourselves the rest time that we all deserve. So let a friendly little website remind us.

What it does

Its main function is that it allows users to set an alarm for the time they will be working and the website will remind them to take a break after they've worked for so long.

How we built it

We used Squarespace and some third party widgets mainly by HTML.

Challenges we ran into

Our entire team has absolutely no experience in web development and hackathon. Everything was a challenge, from choosing a platform to how we build the functions we were all hunting down useful information on the internet to try and solve and make something happen.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of having this working website in such a short time.

What we learned

We all learnt the importance of asking for help whenever it is needed. Just like the goal of our website is to remind people that it is ok to take a break, the development process reminded us that it is ok to ask for help.

What's next for Take a break cunt

We wish to extend into a reward system that can encourage users to use the website habitually.
