As a first time hacker, I wanted to learn more than compete. So I went to as many presentations as a could, thinking that that would be the best way to learn. However, I did not learn that much from those presentations, and would have wished to spend more time working on the application with my group members. Fortunately, I was able to use my graphic design skills to faithfully create a high-res application logo for the project. What I learned most is that the group is the best place to learn from, as well as hunting down mentors for help. Next hackathon, I will be better prepared and spend as much time as I can with my group members. I am also thankful for my group's understanding and kindness.
