Taevaria: Shape Your Land, Shift the System
Taevaria is the realization of a long-held vision—one that could only emerge with the rise of artificial intelligence and the creative freedom unlocked by vibe coding, which empowered me despite lacking advanced game design or coding experience. Built entirely with Rosebud AI (which was also used to code and develop the Supabase backend), Taevaria became possible through intuitive tools that allowed me to prototype, iterate, and deploy complex systems without writing thousands of lines of code.
At its core, Taevaria is a multiplayer sandbox economy game where thousands of real players—not bots or simulations—interact in a dynamic marketplace governed by supply, demand, and strategic decision-making. Players begin with basic resources and buildings, gradually scaling up to advanced materials like aluminum and steel through tiered production chains. The backend-driven market system mirrors real-world trading platforms, with buy and sell orders dynamically shaping prices and scarcity.
But Taevaria is more than a game. It’s a living experiment in economic modeling. Each season culminates in a win condition—highest net worth—but beneath the competition lies a deeper purpose. Taevaria integrates a universal basic income (UBI) mechanic—not to advocate for it, but to observe it. The game tracks and visualizes the impact of UBI on player behavior, market health, and economic stratification. This data isn’t just for players—it’s for researchers, scholars, and anyone curious about how economic systems evolve when real humans interact under novel conditions.
As players grow wealthier, they become vulnerable to attack. Taevaria introduces military mechanics where players can build armies, jets, and tanks to defend their holdings or launch strategic offensives. Will you protect your prosperity—or seize it from others?
Building Taevaria meant overcoming major challenges: learning to read and follow JavaScript, designing backend systems, handling APIs, and implementing economic algorithms from scratch. But the biggest accomplishment? Hundreds of players are currently shaping Taevaria’s economy in real time—trading, building, defending, and discovering.
No existing game captures this blend of procedural realism, economic simulation, and live data modeling. Taevaria stands alone as a platform for play, strategy, and discovery. It’s a game, a study, and a sandbox for shaping systems—one turn at a time.
And what’s next? More content. More economic tracking. More possibilities. Taevaria is just getting started.
