Inspiration

I was inspired because I saw so many of my classmates losing focus and not doing well in school.

What it does

My program, Tactic, improves focus, logic, strategy, etc. You can think of it like a brain game.

How I built it

Seeing as to how the problem applies to me and there are many slow and unreliable solutions to this problem already (slow webpages, almost obsolete ips, etc.), I decided to go with a beast of a language: C++. I also used ML (machine learning) to create various artificial intelligences to use in the program's activities and games. Finally, I used javascript for the front end while also running a server to fetch data.

Challenges I ran into

C++ is known for its speed, but it is also known for its insanely steep learning curve. Although I knew C++ already, my skills were amateur and sloppy at best. (It takes years to properly learn computer science). That's why I researched and practiced my CS theory and this is a product of this effort!

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I am proud of the way I almost completely and seamlessly programmed this project and of my custom and complex algorithms that I made.

What I learned

I learned various algorithms and searches, and a lot about computer science!

What's next for Tactic

I plan to create stat tracking and also add multiplayer modes to the activities so that users can interact with each other while improving their focus and brainpower along the way.
