Inspiration
OneTab, they only save links. TabStash build the knowledge layer on top
What it does
AI-powered tab manager that turns closed tabs into searchable knowledge. Screenshots, summaries, auto-tagging, semantic search. Like OneTab, but your tabs stay useful.
How we built it
I kinda went all-in on this. Started with a chrome extension and the basic idea was: capture tabs → process with AI → make it searchable.
the stack ended up being pretty straightforward: vanilla js indexeddb for storage
Challenges we ran into
the lack of proper equipment to check everything before the deadline.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
like i'd legitimately use this. how many times have you had 50 tabs open and just closed them all out of frustration? now i don't have to feel bad about it
What we learned
well it's turn out that you can't just screenshot any tab. spent way too long debugging why screenshots would randomly fail before we just added try-catch everywhere
What's next for TabStash
