Looking for a table in woo? Looking for a table in Berk? Looking to examine a modern masterpiece of software engineering? Well, look no further than http://localhost:3000/, where you'll find Table Tracker - the solution to one of your problems.
What it does
With a website design that is more brutalist then the fine arts center, Table Tracker displays the current occupancy status of tables in all four major UMass dining halls. Colors are used to signify whether a table is currently occupied or not, and if a table is occupied, we display how long it has been occupied for with a timer that is low key swanky af bud. Using a card scanner, updating table occupancy requires nothing more than a swipe of a ucard.
How we built it
React & Material UI for the frontend. Flask for the backend. Matthew Berhe in the center of it all.
Challenges we ran into
The usual. Karthik going rogue, having to force open the magnetic locks of the south college doors, frank food, and Sriman being way too cute for his own good.
