Inspiration
I wanted to start working on a project to gain some more experience and expand my skill set. I wanted to do something fun and practical. That's when I thought of T-Tasks.
How it works
T-Tasks fetches your Google tasks then organizes and displays them in this Material app.
Challenges I ran into
The Google tasks API has not been updated to work with Google Play Services and combining an old sample with a more modern Material Design app was not easy.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
I'm proud that I was able to combine different libraries with my own code to get a fully working (although a bit featureless at the moment) app.
What I learned
While working on the app, I learned some more Java, how to develop apps with Android Studio as well as how to work with Git.
What's next for T-Tasks
T-Tasks is far from complete. For now, it only fetches tasks and displays them. In the future, it will be able to create new tasks, delete them, organize them and there will be plenty of other features.
