Inspiration
Inspiration for your game stemmed out of the pitch John did for educating individuals on how they can do a better job of being more observant about their overall health. Although our game does not cover the myriad of scenarios that one could encounter (or reasons) as to why they should visit the doctor more often, we believe our game begins the discussion and is a good foundation to build upon.
What it does
Our prototype is a scroll runner. Moreover, in order for the character to survive in the game, they need to avoid certain allergens (for this first iteration, that would be certain food items) and additionally, they would need to collect epinephrine (epi packs) in order to lengthen or save their life within the game.
How we built it
We built this game using Unity, bfxr, garageband, piskelart, and the knowledge of our wonderful sponsors (you GUYS).
Challenges we ran into
Limitations and challenges we ran into while accomplishing project included but were not limited to:
a) knowing how the heck to build a video game
b) time
c) turning concepts into reality (essentially that is magic on a hogwarts level)
d) prioritizing what to prototype
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Actually having a finished product, our pixel art ( cause we learned that in one night and nailed it).
What we learned
C#, Pixel art, and turning music into a game...oh and teamwork
What's next for T.A.R. Runner
