Inspiration

Today's organizations spend countless hours in meetings, yet much of the valuable knowledge shared during those conversations is never translated into action. Tasks are forgotten, decisions are lost, and accountability often depends on manual follow-ups. We asked ourselves a bigger question: What if meetings didn't just produce notes—but became autonomous systems that drive execution?

Syntra AI was inspired by the vision of transforming conversations into coordinated action. Instead of AI acting as a passive assistant, we envision AI as an intelligent co-worker that understands discussions, collaborates with people, and helps organizations execute work seamlessly. Our goal is to move beyond meeting productivity and build the foundation for autonomous organizations.

What it does

Syntra AI is an AI-powered meeting agent that joins virtual meetings, understands conversations, and transforms them into structured, actionable work.

It automatically:

Joins online meetings. Converts speech into text. Extracts tasks, decisions, deadlines, and assigned owners using AI. Generates meeting summaries and structured reports. Responds to users during meetings through voice when asked questions. Detects missing information, such as unassigned tasks or missing deadlines, and prompts participants for clarification. Organizes all outcomes into a dashboard that helps teams track execution and accountability.

Rather than simply recording meetings, Syntra AI acts as an intelligent participant that helps teams move from discussion to execution.

How we built it

We designed Syntra AI as a modular AI system powered by modern web technologies and large language models. Speech recognition converts conversations into text, while AI analyzes the transcript to identify key decisions, action items, responsibilities, and deadlines.

A voice interaction layer enables participants to communicate naturally with the AI during meetings. The platform combines AI reasoning with structured workflow management, allowing meeting outcomes to become organized, searchable, and actionable.

Our architecture was designed with future extensibility in mind, enabling multiple AI agents to collaborate across different stages of the meeting lifecycle.

Challenges we ran into

One of the biggest challenges was moving beyond simple transcription to genuine understanding. Conversations are often unstructured, with interruptions, incomplete thoughts, and changing topics.

Another challenge was balancing AI autonomy with human oversight. We wanted Syntra AI to proactively identify missing information while ensuring that people remain in control of important decisions.

Designing a system that can scale from meeting intelligence to broader organizational workflows also required thinking beyond traditional note-taking applications.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of creating a vision that reimagines meetings as the starting point of execution rather than the end of communication.

Instead of building another AI note-taking tool, we developed the foundation for an autonomous meeting co-worker capable of understanding conversations, extracting meaningful work, and improving accountability.

Most importantly, we shifted our focus from documenting conversations to enabling organizations to execute them.

What we learned

Building Syntra AI taught us that the future of work is not simply about making AI answer questions faster—it is about enabling AI to collaborate with humans in meaningful ways.

We learned that effective AI systems must combine language understanding, workflow orchestration, and human feedback rather than relying solely on text generation. We also learned the importance of designing AI that augments human decision-making instead of replacing it.

What's next for Syntra AI

Our long-term vision is to evolve Syntra AI from a meeting agent into the operating system for autonomous organizations.

Future capabilities include:

Multi-agent collaboration for different business functions. Deep integration with enterprise tools and business workflows. Autonomous follow-up on tasks and project execution. Cross-meeting organizational memory that continuously learns from previous discussions. AI agents capable of coordinating work across departments while keeping humans involved in strategic decisions.

We believe the future workplace will not be managed through manual coordination but through intelligent systems that transform conversations into continuous execution. Syntra AI is our first step toward that future.
