Inspiration

Meetings are where ideas are created, decisions are made, and projects move forward. Yet, after the meeting ends, teams often struggle with forgotten action items, unclear responsibilities, and time-consuming manual follow-ups. Existing meeting tools mainly focus on recording conversations rather than ensuring work gets done.

We created Syntra AI to bridge the gap between discussion and execution. Our vision is to build an AI co-worker that not only understands meetings but also helps organizations turn conversations into real, accountable action.

What it does

Syntra AI is an AI-powered meeting co-worker that joins virtual meetings, listens to conversations, and automatically converts them into structured, actionable work.

It can:

Join online meetings as an AI participant. Transcribe conversations in real time. Identify tasks, deadlines, decisions, and assigned owners. Generate concise meeting summaries. Produce downloadable reports. Allow participants to interact with the AI through voice during meetings. Detect missing information, such as tasks without owners or deadlines, and prompt users for clarification.

Instead of simply documenting meetings, Syntra AI helps teams stay organized, accountable, and productive.

How we built it

Syntra AI combines speech recognition, natural language processing, and large language models to understand conversations and extract meaningful information.

We designed the platform with a modern web architecture that supports meeting transcription, AI reasoning, structured task generation, and voice interaction. The system organizes meeting outputs into dashboards and reports that teams can easily review and act upon.

Our modular design also allows future integration with calendars, project management platforms, and workplace collaboration tools.

Challenges we ran into

One of our biggest challenges was teaching AI to understand real conversations instead of simply converting speech into text. Meetings often contain interruptions, incomplete ideas, changing topics, and informal discussions, making accurate task extraction difficult.

Another challenge was balancing automation with human oversight. We wanted AI to assist users without making important decisions on their behalf, ensuring that people always remain in control of critical business actions.

We're proud of creating a solution that goes beyond traditional meeting transcription.

Rather than building another note-taking tool, we designed an AI meeting co-worker that transforms conversations into organized tasks, clear ownership, and measurable accountability.

We're also proud of developing a vision that can grow from meeting intelligence into a broader platform for workplace collaboration and execution.

What we learned

Building Syntra AI showed us that productivity is not just about capturing information—it's about helping people act on it.

We also learned that successful AI products require more than intelligent models. They must fit naturally into existing workflows, keep humans involved in important decisions, and solve practical problems that teams experience every day.

What's next for Syntra AI

Our next goal is to transform Syntra AI into a complete workplace execution platform.

Future plans include:

Integration with Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams. Calendar synchronization and automatic meeting joining. Integration with project management tools like Jira, Trello, Asana, and Linear. Multi-agent AI collaboration for different business workflows. Smart follow-up reminders and task tracking. Enterprise analytics for team productivity and meeting effectiveness.

Our long-term vision is to make Syntra AI the AI operating layer for modern organizations, helping businesses spend less time managing work and more time achieving meaningful results.
