Inspiration

Meetings are essential for collaboration, yet they often result in scattered notes, forgotten decisions, and unclear action items. Remote teams also rely on multiple disconnected tools for communication, documentation, and code collaboration. We built Syntra AI to bring everything together in a single AI-powered workspace where teams can collaborate more efficiently and leave every meeting with clear outcomes.

What it does

Syntra AI is an AI-native collaborative meeting platform designed for modern teams. It enables users to: Create collaborative meeting rooms Work together in a shared code editor Receive AI-powered code reviews Generate intelligent meeting summaries Automatically extract decisions and action items Suggest AI-powered code patches Keep everyone synchronized in real time Instead of simply recording meetings, Syntra AI transforms discussions into structured, actionable knowledge.

How we built it

We built Syntra AI using: Next.js TypeScript Tailwind CSS Firebase OpenAI Responses API BroadcastChannel for real-time collaboration Vercel The AI analyzes conversations and collaborative workspaces to generate summaries, identify decisions, create actionable tasks, and provide intelligent coding assistance.

Challenges we ran into

One of the biggest challenges was designing an AI workflow that feels natural during live collaboration. We also worked on synchronizing room state while generating useful AI insights without interrupting the user experience.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud of creating a unified collaboration platform that combines meetings, AI assistance, collaborative coding, and intelligent documentation into one seamless experience. Instead of switching between multiple productivity tools, teams can collaborate entirely within Syntra AI.

What we learned

Building Syntra AI strengthened our understanding of collaborative software architecture, real-time synchronization, AI-assisted productivity, and designing experiences that genuinely improve team workflows rather than simply adding AI features.
