Inspiration

I was inspired to make a personal project based on sequencers and samplers I have seen.

What it does

Outputs a waveform to a DAC and outputs to a powered speaker. This waveform is controlled with a key matrix.

How we built it

A raspberry pi pico is programmed to output an 8 bit signal into a voltage divider based DAC. The key matrix can be used to input into the pico and manipulate the waveform.

Challenges we ran into

Finding how to demonstrate the output was a challenge.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The ability to play a full C major scale in any octave in 4 different wave forms.

What we learned

We learned how to make a key matrix, DAC, and output a waveform from a pico.

What's next for Synthesizer

Adding more scales, filters, sampling, and sequencing.
