Inspiration

The very first of its kind, client side syntax highlighter. Originally released way back in 2004 still is the most popular clientside Syntax Highlighter on the web.

Challenges I ran into

Can't find time and inspiration to maintain so I'm making very slow progress. Would really like to collaborate with somebody to get the ball rolling again.

What's next for SyntaxHighlighter

I want to do a full rewrite to support embedded syntaxes, so that you could highlight JavaScript and PHP inside HTML markup.
