Inspiration
Syntax was born from our own struggles learning and building in tech . we became frustrated with outdated courses, expensive lessons, and the inadequacies of current ed tech.
What it does
Syntax is a gamified app that makes learning tech skills interactive and engaging. It tackles the dropout problem in online education by combining community, events, and project-based learning—so users not only gain skills but also build portfolios, projects and career-ready experience.
How we built it
We designed Syntax as a lightweight multi-platform web and mobile app using (Figma and a lot of Notion Pages) and are building it using (react js, Javascript) with a focus on modular learning , personalized experiences and gamification and a sweet user experience.
Challenges we ran into
Building a scalable architecture for interactive lessons and progress tracking. Keeping team motivated Limited resources during development forced us to prioritize features and re-strategize .
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of how the idea has evolved over time and how every new member of the team brings in a new insight on the project. We also shipped a prototype earlier in the year alongside reaching out to communities and forming strategic partnerships and beginning preliminary discussions.
What we learned
If you try to lecture people on Insta you'll Bomb . On a more serious note , we learnt the amount of dedication and passion goes into a project like this.
What's next for Syntax
we are set to launch a beta version of the app later this year and of course grow our socials and community.
