"Symptom Tracker is your personal health companion :- helping you log symptoms easily, understand their severity, and instantly discover tailored remedies, all in one intuitive and caring space."
"Log symptoms easily and get instant personalized remedies."
Track, analyze, and get cures for every symptom easily.
Inspiration :- The inspiration behind building the Symptom Tracker came from a simple observation: people often ignore or forget early symptoms of health issues, leading to delayed treatment or unnecessary stress. I wanted to create a tool that makes it easy for anyone to log their symptoms, understand how serious they are, and get immediate guidance or home remedies—all from one place. Health awareness should be accessible, simple, and supportive.
What it does :- The Symptom Tracker allows users to log their daily health symptoms along with a severity level (Low, Medium, or High) using an intuitive emoji-based interface. Once an entry is submitted, the app instantly displays a relevant remedy or home care suggestion based on the symptom entered—whether it's a headache, leg pain, burn, or any common household health issue. The app also calculates and shows the average severity of all logged symptoms to help users track patterns over time. All data is stored locally in the browser, and users can reset their history if needed. It works entirely offline, requires no signup, and provides quick, AI-like health suggestions in a user-friendly format.
How we built it :- One major challenge was ensuring the remedy suggestions felt helpful and relevant for every possible symptom, from common headaches to household injuries like burns or leg pain. I had to create a large internal dictionary of symptoms and match them appropriately. Another challenge was designing the UI to be responsive and easy to use across devices while keeping it visually engaging. Managing data persistence, theme toggles, and entry validation also required careful attention.

Accomplishments that we're proud of :- We’re proud of creating a fully functional, responsive, and visually appealing Symptom Tracker that not only logs daily health symptoms but also instantly provides useful remedies for a wide range of conditions—from headaches to burns and other common household health issues. One of the biggest achievements was building a system that works entirely offline using local storage, making it accessible and private for users. We also implemented real-time AI-like feedback and a clean UI/UX experience, making the app intuitive and engaging. Turning a simple tracker into a helpful health assistant was a major accomplishment we’re truly proud of.
What we learned :- Throughout this project, we gained valuable experience in front-end web development, especially in building interactive and responsive user interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. We deepened our understanding of user-centered design by focusing on accessibility and ease of use, while also learning how to handle data storage locally using browser APIs. One key takeaway was how to simulate intelligent suggestions and health remedies through symptom recognition, helping us think creatively about how AI-like logic can be applied without using heavy backend systems. Most importantly, we learned how small tools can make a big impact when designed with empathy and user needs in mind.
What's next for SYMPTOM TRACKER :- The next steps for Symptom Tracker involve integrating real AI models and APIs to offer more personalized and accurate health suggestions based on user input. We plan to expand the database of symptoms and remedies, improve the severity detection through natural language input, and add features like charts to track symptom trends over time. Additionally, we aim to implement user authentication so individuals can save their data across devices, and possibly connect with healthcare professionals. Ultimately, our goal is to evolve this project into a smarter, more holistic health companion that assists users not just in tracking, but in understanding and managing their well-being proactively.
