Inspiration
A rapid growth of medical services is creating a great impact on our lives. The aim is to provide one platform for medical services, communicate with the specialized doctor through Real-Time Communication and text messages. This module will be used for the ultimate User-Experience e.g after predicting the disease the system can redirect the user to the specialized doctors of their best match and even can inform the user about preventions and prescribe suitable medicine in minor cases(#headache,minor-fever e.t.c).
What it does
It takes user input in the form of symptoms and predicts disease against it.
How we built it
First of all, we made an example dataset of just 16 observations for the demo. Then we applied the KNN algorithm for prediction, and then we deployed it on an RServer using ShinnyApps(Web development kit for R) for testing the demo.
Challenges we ran into
It was hard to find the pattern & then normalize the dataset.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of our teamwork & collaboration, that made us able to accomplish our first step for the system we will be making in future.
What we learned
we have learned that we can do anything just by our will & believe in teamwork.
What's next for Symptom Disease Sorter made in R
We will integrate this module in an Android Application (MEDIAC).
Mediac- the android based system that will mainly be used for helping the patients who need a medical advice for their disease/symptoms and are unable to approach the doctor physically in any case.
Mediac connects users with a doctor of their choice through real-time communication, male or female when they want a rapid diagnosis or the flexibility of a pre-planned appointment to fit in with their busy lives.
