Inspiration
What really inspired me to create a tradable locally valuable asset is mostly thanks to my roommates, I really don't know where I would be without them.
What it does
Chores crypto was built to create a valuable asset that is pegged to Ethereum and allow its users to use it to trade a valuable asset digitally for their completion of chores
How I built it
I built the ERC-20 token using Eth-remix which is an awsome IDE that allows you to debug and deploy smart contracts both on test and real world networks as well
Challenges I ran into
Challenges mostly comes from the nature of Blockchain technology. As blockchain is really just a glorified immutable linked list so once a contract is deployed there is no changing or updating the code on the smart contract.
Accomplishments that I proud of
An accomplishment I am proud of is the workaround to the immutability nature of smartcontracts. I added an additional feature, called the "burn", to the code that would allow me to burn CRE tokens which would prevent hackers from abusing the network if there is any bugs on the deployed contract, and move all the tokens to a "bank" address until a new contract is deployed with the fixed bug and then swaped into the new token.
What I learned
I learned mostly that for future crazy ideas I should definitely get a team that has a similar idea in mind to help me with the development and testing of our project as doing things solo was very tough.
What's next for Chores ERC-20 Cryptocurrency
To deploy a ERC-20 token onto the mainnet there is alot of capital required as well as the technology alone is so powerful that it usually tends to be organized with an application of some sort which would make a tokenomic revolved around a businessmodel. As a leaning web3 developer that is something i would love to do however for now I would like to grow my skills and connect with professionals to allow me to see what a realistic goal in 2025 looks like!
