Inspiration

I guess tragedies are indeed true form of inspiration The tragedy of missing our own deadlines and forgetting about the quizzes and exams as we did not put down the dates in our calendars inspired us to build something that does it for us

What it does

Reads assignment dates from pdfs and put it into a csv file that we can import in our google calendars

How we built it

Using SUtime a nlp tool that detects the dates and difflib library of python

What's next for Syllabus_to_calendar

Furthermore, we plan work on the accuracy and support multiple syllabus formats A web-app and chrome extension is in the making to make it more accessible And a reminder system as well that reminds us of the exams and quiz regularly like 2 weeks before the actual date

How to run-

the system should python3 download the python file import PyPDF2 on the system using command - pip3 install PyPDF2 install maven using - brew install maven and then downloading everything from our github repo Run the python program
