Inspiration

Students sometimes face difficulties in deciding what to study and what not to study for their exams. Hence they spend a lot of time going through the previous years' question papers rather than studying.

What it does

Syllabus Condenser suggests the important topics and questions from the syllabus to study.

How we built it

We used the basics of OCR and NLP to extract and clean text and we used predictive analysis to make predictions of the important topics by analyzing previous years' questions.

Challenges we ran into

We ran into many problems notably the time of execution of the code and various other issues due to the lack of knowledge in this field.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Since this is our first major hackathon, we are very glad that we were able to make a decent submission.

What we learned

We learned a lot about NLP and machine learning. We also tried our hand at web development.

What's next for Syllabus Condenser

We plan to optimize the code and make it available for students all over the world.
