Syllabite

Syllabite is an easy way to keep track of the web resources you use to study! Instead of opening up hundreds of tabs every time you want to study for a subject you can create a Syllabite to store, organize, and track all the websites you like to use for each objective in your particular course. In essence, Syllabite is a multiple search query that allows you to save your result by topic. The sites that are searched are all recommended sites by other students or teachers and soon you'll be able to add your own too!

I worked on the backend of the site, among design, my main focus was the search process for content based on the students objectives. I've never worked with web crawling before so the experience was a great way to expose myself to a new subject. I learned a lot about search engines and hope to learn even more while further contributing to this project and others.

I worked on the back end of the site and helped integrate it with the front end's html files. This was my first time diving into back end web development and using an external server to host it, so I learned a great deal about basic web application setup!
