Inspiration

Enable people to easily send payments using their existing bank accounts, no third party apps involved.

What it does

The solution allows one person to display their bank account details in the form of QR code. Then, the other person captures those details, and sends a payment to the first person.

How we built it

We used web technologies (Elixir)

Challenges we ran into

1. Formulating the exact idea was particularly challenging - we received great help from the Finastra Brainstorm team.

2. Identifying the correct APIs to use - again, we received great help on this from Ramy Elkhoulany.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Having a working demo is what we are most proud of.

What we learned

• How to make use of the API infrastructure built by Finastra, how to connect and interact with it.
• We also learned the importance of having a more focused initial direction before starting the hackathon.

What's next for Swoosh

We'll explore possible real-life use cases for bank to bank transfers.
